A close friend purchased a beautiful Boston Whaler and named it Majúa (A species of small fish common to tropical waters) and asked me to design its logo.

I did research on other boat logos and on the majúa fish anatomy in order to come up with a unique design that would stand out from other boats in the marina. Although I considered several ideas, I decided that making a logotype (A logo that crafts the brand name into a design) using the shape of the fish was the ideal approach. 

Rendering the letters of the name to conform to the outline of the fish was an arduous task, but I think the resulting design was well worth the effort. Needless to say, my friend is beaming with pride with this logo and has ordered all kinds of swag such as rash guards, t-shirts, hats, and Yeti thermos to hand out to his boat guests.
