Parque de las Ciencias

Parque de las Ciencias Luis A. Ferré

The city of Bayamón, Puerto Rico had an amazing science themed park called Parque de  las Ciencias Luis A. Ferré, that included nature walks, a rowing lake, a zoo, several science exhibits, an art museum and a great collection of aeronautical marvels such as authentic NASA rockets. I was asked to rebrand the park to emphasize that it is a educational, kid-friendly and fun experience.

Although I favor simplicity in logo design, in this case I thought that this client would benefit from a logo that would express the eclectic offerings of the park. The design depicts a child rejoicing within a sphere of fun and amazing attractions, including a native taino hieroglyph.

Unfortunately, the branding had only been partially implemented when in 2017 Hurricane Maria destroyed the park.
